The first elf to be named was elf Martin, who is named after my eldest son. I got the idea for that elf one evening when Martin had come in his night clothes and was tumbling around, so that the shirt slid up a little on his little ostrich belly, and immediately I saw a little elf with the shirt up on his stomach. So it was Martin who gave me the idea of the bare bellies, their chubby shapes, round cheeks and giving the goblins names". – Etly Klarborg. Etly has redesigned the Martin elf.
